Zcript is a homeowner companion app operated through homezcript.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information Zcript collects, how that information is used, and the choices users have.
Zcript may collect information you provide or create while using the app, including account information such as your email address, home profile information such as ZIP code, property type, year built, square footage, and other home details you choose to enter, home records such as repair logs, maintenance tasks, project costs, contractor notes, warranty details, receipts, photos, screenshots, and saved documents, search and request data such as contractor search terms, ZIP-code based searches, repair topics, quote-check inputs, and AI tool requests, uploaded photos or screenshots you choose to submit for app features, and app activity needed to operate the app such as feature usage, AI usage limits, rewards, achievements, and basic diagnostic information.
We use information to provide and improve Zcript, including to create and maintain your account, save your home profile and records, personalize the app experience based on your home, ZIP code, seasonality, home age, education progress, and saved activity, use ZIP code and search data to help show contractor options in your area, process AI-powered requests such as quote review, repair planning, photo analysis, and home guidance, improve app reliability, prevent abuse, enforce usage limits, troubleshoot issues, and respond to support requests.
Zcript uses ZIP code, home profile details, and search data to personalize homeowner guidance and to show contractor options that may be relevant to the user's area. Zcript does not send your personal identity information to local contractors for marketing or outreach.
Users decide whether to contact a contractor. If you choose to call, message, book, hire, or otherwise contact a contractor, that connection is made by you. Any information you provide directly to a contractor is governed by that contractor's own privacy practices and policies.
Zcript does not sell personal information. Zcript does not share personal identity information, such as your email address or account identity, with local contractors so they can contact you. We may use trusted service providers to operate the app, store data, authenticate users, process app requests, provide AI features, and maintain security. These providers may process information only as needed to provide their services to Zcript.
Zcript may use third-party services for authentication and database storage, cloud hosting and backend processing, AI analysis and response generation, contractor search or local business information, and payment or subscription handling through the app store or payment partners. These services may process data needed for the requested feature. Zcript does not use user data for third-party advertising or sell user data to data brokers.
If you upload a photo, screenshot, quote, receipt, or other file, Zcript uses that content to provide the requested feature, such as analyzing a repair issue or reviewing a contractor quote. Do not upload information you do not want processed by the app or its service providers.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect user information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the app, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Some data may remain in backups or logs for a limited period.
You may choose what information to add to Zcript. Some features may not work without a home profile, ZIP code, uploaded image, or search input. You may request access, correction, or deletion of your account information by contacting Zcript through homezcript.com.
Zcript is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and post the updated policy on homezcript.com.
